The 1st rule of blogging is do it regularly…!

Remember do what I say, not what I do….

Apologies readers I have been swept away on a variety of small projects and have lapsed in my blogging. So you can look forward to ‘business as usual’ blogs on everything from brands, marketing, digital and eco news again soon. In the meantime let me share one of my blogging distractions. I have been road testing a number of nifty social media tools that can increase your productivity and simplify life.  I admit they can’t quite do all your washing and cooking for you..but maybe one day they can!

Here’s my recommended tool of the month! More to feature in future blogs…

Zoo Tool: Tool of the Month!

If like me you’re bored with Delicious and were concerned with the recent rumours they might cease the service then try Zoo Tool.   I’m a visual learner so I love Zoo Tool’s minimalist design and ability to collate your bookmark images. As their website says Zoo Tool enables you to,

“Collect, organize and share your favourite images, videos, documents and links from all over the web with Zootool.”

It even lets you group them by topic and publish your own online book ‘pack’. Other nifty features include easy integration with social media (twitter, facebook etc) so you can share great links easily and speedily with friends. Plus you can follow other interesting Zoo Tool-ers and discover a whole new world of fascinating websites. It’s well used by graphic and web designers and other creatives so you’re sure to be inspired when you sign up (which is Free!).

I could type on and on. Instead I urge you to try it. It literally takes 2 minutes to sign up and you’re live and good to go. Zoo Tool is run by two clever guys in Germany and they have a great facebook page where they’re keen to gain user feedback and are adding new features all the time (last I heard an iPhone app was planned).
